The Astranum Incident

Session 4: Parthius and Glory
Tanks for that Mordecai

Wasting no time at all in the wake of the horrors before them, our intrepid heroes immediately departed the sewers in search of some showers to clean the blood off of them.

They emerged from the sewers to find themselves the target of every PDF soldier and tank they had left behind in the previous session. However things calmed down quickly as the group assured the army staring at them that the Rogue Psyker had been dealt with.

Parthius, aka ‘Quintin’ attempted to capitalise on the groups new found fame, but his attempts were so uninspiring that his remarks were considered boring by the PDF troopers, who were most likely used to listening to self important officers ranting about glory.

Most of the group headed for the hospital, knowing that no small amount of cleaning facilities should be inside, even if the building was still in complete disarray.

Parthius, still haunted by his experiences inside that building, ran all the way back to the Slub to have a shower, and then ran back, only stopping to buy a fancy coat with nice buttons to impress the nobles at the House Therien party.

Meanwhile, Mordecai Freud convinced the commander of the local PDF forces to aid them in their quest, to reach House Therien and protect it from the despicable gangs which were undoubtedly closing in on the Nobles.

By the time everyone had returned from showering, or otherwise cleaning themselves up, the PDF had formed up into a proper convoy, multiple Leman Russ Battle Tanks and Chimera IFV’s and all the Guardsmen in the Company neatly lined up, ready to take the fight to the Gangers. Parthius capitalized on this moment of glory by leaping onto the lead Chimera and blasting inspiring music over the Vehicles sound system. The Effect was… Impressive.

As the group proudly approached the Therien Household, disaster struck, huge explosions rocked the enormous building from the inside and sounds of fighting filled the air. The entire company rushed forwards. While the Company proceeded to contain the situation outside the main building, the Acoloytes and a token group of guardsmen rushed to the main building to try and save as many people as they could.

They leaped out of their transport at the bottom of the steps and raced upstairs where they encountered a number of Crimson Aquilla gangers engaging some Therien Household Arbites. With the help of the Arbites and Parthius’s overly inspired guardsmen retinue (and more than one impressive shot fired by Mordecai) the gangers were dispatched and the group rushed onwards.

While this had been happening, some guy named Vincent, an assassin who managed to sneak inside the party in the hopes of killing his mark, picked himself up off the ground in the wake of the explosion, he watched as band of heavily armed people began to set up defenses in the grand ballroom, realising he needed his gun, Vincent ran for where he stashed it, in his enthusiasm he ran into a wall at some point, something which he will never tell another soul. Ever. However indent on the wall remains to this day for all to see.

After retrieving his weapon, he lured his mark outside, promising to protect the man from the horrifying men attacking the compound. He killed the man with a single shot from his rifle before heading for the buildings exit. Remarking to himself how easy it had been to kill that noble, from house Target.

It was this moment he found himself staring at a crowd, a crowd of slightly confused Guardsmen, Inquisitorial Acoloytes and House Arbites.

Within moments Vincent was tied up and strapped to ‘Shiv’’s back. Apparently things had not gone according to plan.

After fighting their way through another Hive Bruiser, the group managed to reach the ballroom, not only were a sizable portion of the Nobles, Dargan Theiren and his bodyguard Mountain still alive, but the group arrived just in time to see one unlucky Ganger’s skull caved in by none other than Inquisitor Orton Remarius.

Orton, pleased with his acoloytes arrival gave them their next task, investigate the Crimson Aquilla. Inquisitorial style. After which he departed to ‘investigate’ the Ardent, the Aquillas co-conspirators who turned on them during the raid.

After the Inquisitors departure, Dargan Therien called upon his remaining guests and the Acoloytes to join him in his private Study for Supper, the in shock nobles then began to carry on as if nothing had happened, treating the expansive study as a small ballroom.

Meanwhile, Scarlet ‘Rat’s eyes fell upon Dargans attractive daughter…

Session 3 Part Two - Wolfe's Bane
Suffer not the Witch

And you thought things were crazy from where we left off…

Honourable mentions to Wolfe von Arcarnus who managed to suffer a Psychic Phenomenon/ Perils of the Warp a whopping 7 times unintentionally. (And quite a few more times intentionally.)

Hundreds of people were left deafened for some time by the unearthly wail caused accidentally by Wolfe von Arcarnus, among which was himself, Wolfe immediately expected someone to come running into the morgue to investigate and decided that being the only one conscious there would be a bad sign, needing a scapegoat of some kind the deaf Psyker unsheathed one of his mono edged blades and began hacking and stabbing at one of the nearest corpses, intending to explain to the first person to cross the doors threshold that it had indeed been the corpse he was hacking away at.

Of course being deaf and focused on his current task, Wolfe failed to notice Mordecai Freud staring at him from the doorway. The feral assassin stood their dumbfounded as the group’s Psyker acted, very strangely. Mordecai had arrived to investigate the noises but found himself being handed more questions than answers upon his arrival.
Shrugging and no doubt thinking that Wolfe was insane, Mordecai left to inform the first person he came across as to the probable cause of the noise, an insane Psyker.
Wolfe had, by this stage come to his senses and saw the Assassin leave and quickly chased after him, casting a spell over his companion to make him forget what he had seen, at least until they were safely away.

Meanwhile, in a great show of willpower and courage, typical of the Emperors Staunch protectors of the law, Parthius, aka ‘Quintin’ bravely broke down and began sobbing when the Banshee Wail echoed throughout the premises as Ignatius Forsord stood over him, laughing as his Mechanicus enhanced hearing withstood the blow. The techpriest then decided to record such an event so he could look back on it on a later date and remember yet another reason why the flesh is weak.

Finally having regrouped after this strange turn of events, the team decided to enter the sewers in an attempt to track down men who not only attacked the convoy, but also sent the assassin to silence the preacher.
Saying one last goodbye to the hives well lit interior the party descended into darkness. The sewers were in terrible condition, rust, slime and detritus filled the tunnels and the stench bombarded Mordecai’s sensitive nose.

As the team continued to move in the darkness, Ignatius and his ever present bodyguard decided to hop over to the other gantry to put some distance between themselves and their fleshy companions, as Ignatius was the only member of the group to be carrying an effective light source in the pitch black cavern, the rest of the group was forced to carry on in darkness.
Perhaps it was luck, or perhaps it was fate that Scarlet ‘Rat’ grabbed Mordecai and told him to stop amidst the gloom. But the wily thief had somehow realised that they had almost run into a trip wire, Ignatius and Shiv also stopped in time to avoid the devious trap, largely aided by the light Ignatius had carried.

Mordecai deftly leaped over the wire and disarmed the device, despite the trap involving two fragmentation grenades, the kind of tripwire setup was one he was more than familiar with, having used it to trap animals, and sometimes men on his homeworld. The grenades were distributed evenly amongst the group (to anyone who was willing to hold an explosive device which had been left to kill them and their companions), before the group continued onwards.

As they rounded a corner, the group found themselves under fire from more members of the Ardent gang. Mordecai pretended to be wounded and reason with the men, but all attempts failed and the group was soon embroiled in a firefight.
When the dust settled, the group came away largely unscathed, with only the hulking Shiv taking anything bordering on a serious injury, the group also captured a prisoner of sorts, although the Ardent footsoldier was very tight lipped, revealing only that the Ardent was working with the Crimson Aquila to crash a party held by House Therien later that day, this snippet of information was exchanged for Mordecai not killing the prisoner, after mere violence had failed to intimidate the man.
Instead Mordecai injured the mans leg and rolled him into the depths of the sewer to drown, leading to a very… unpleasant demise.

As everyone began to divide their well earned loot, Wolfe decided to retrieve the swords he had flung at their enemies using the powers of the warp, much to his dismay the warp went against him once more, this time the malicious energies tormented and played with any and all machinery nearby, causing no small amount of trouble for Ignatius and messing with all manner of things inside Shiv.
It did not take much interference from the warp to convince Shiv’s IFF systems that Wolfe was the source of his problems, the hulking War Machine/ Man had no love for Psykers, especially one who had, for some time been openly working against his handler and friend. With a cloudy mind, Shiv launched himself at Wolfe, who barely managed to duck in time to avoid a powerful swing from Shiv’s ‘hammer’.
Wolfe, sensing danger reminiscent of the previous days run in with the enormous Crimson Aquila Brute with a chainsword called upon the warp once again and used its energies to fling one of his mono edged blades at Shiv, a technique which had served him well more than once during his time on Astranum.
The attack was nearly fatal for Wolfe’s hulking opponent, and Wolfe would have finished him then and there had Mordecai not intervened, with Shiv weakened and teetering on the edge of the gantry, Mordecai managed to keep the roughly 200KG killing machine from lashing out anymore at Wolfe and calming the situation. Wolfe begrudgingly healed Shiv once Ignatius had repaired him.
Mordecai then swiftly divided loot and sent the Ignatius, Shiv, Scarlet and Parthius off to investigate a possible Ardent cache.

The cache was nearby, behind a seemingly hollow piece of wall, Ignatius managed to pummel the wall somewhat with his staff, seeing that this section would crumble easilly he stepped back, looked at Shiv and indicated the wall.
‘Shiv, hammer.’ Ignatius said simply and the now repaired brute knocked the wall down with one strike.

Inside they found a small cache of discarded ammo and even a flamer, as well as a single melta canister which was unused, although the terrifying weapon it powered was nowhere to be seen.

On the way back to the surface, led by Scarlet, the only member of the group who had any clue of where they were, Wolfe once again attempted to harness the powers of the warp, this time something strange happened, he blinked out of existence for a few seconds. Only Ignatius witnessed this turn of events and his disdain for those who harnessed the warp led the techpriest to suggest the group hurry up. When Wolfe did rematerialise he immediately set off in search for his companions, not wanting to spend any more time in the foul sewers than he had to. When he was getting close to his companions he cast a spell to help him identify where they were, however the warp once again rose up against him and a freak lightning storm struck both Wolfe and his companions around the bend, with Parthius and Scarlet wounded (Scarlet more seriously injured than Parthius), the group immediately took cover, expecting a rogue Psyker to leap at them any moment.
Wolfe tried to explain his errors but as his companions muttered worriedly, he could tell from their voices that they were not about to take chances, the Imperium is after all, very wary towards those who can bend the immaterium to their will, especially because of how dangerous it is and the temptations of the warp and the unholy powers.

Mordecai immediately took charge, the group more or less agreeing that Wolfe had gone rogue, and therefore had to be put down. With a quick notification towards their allies, including the forces at the Inquisitorial base the group arrived at upon reaching the Kadran Hive and Dargan Theiren personal bodyguard Mountain.

The team braced itself for confronting the horrors they would undoubtedly face and rounded the corner. Strangely the rogue Psyker was fleeing rather than unleashing the warp on the group, but they took no notice as Wolfe tried desperately to flee.
The whole party unleashed a withering hail of fire on their former comrade, however in their quivering fear and Wolfe’s haste, many of these shots missed, but all this changed when Shiv, his hatred for the nobleman entrenched, raised the flamer they had liberated from the Aquila and unleashed a torrent of fire upon the Psyker.
Wolfe’s body caught flames and seeing his escape route thoroughly out of reach, the nobleman did the one thing he could do, he embraced the warp thoroughly. Wolfe opened himself to the warp in an attempt to escape; however fate was not smiling upon him, the psychic emanations from all the previous psychic disturbances caused a catastrophic chain reaction. The walls wept blood as a small tornado whipped itself into existence around the psyker and the voices of those long dead whispered to all that could hear them; swarms of ghostly figures swept throughout the sewers trying to pull the one who had summoned him into the realm of the dead. The voices daemons spoke to the acolytes whispering promises of power and their deepest desires, A massive amount of psychic power bled through the hole that was opened between the Immateriam and Realspace. However just as Wolfe was about to use this power to make his escape a daemon used the same hole to possess Wolfe as he was pulled, unprotected into the warp.

Now the team had dealt with a great threat to all of Astranum, but were left with the guilt that they had brought him here, on top of the horrors they had seen in that sewer, which would stay with them for the rest of their lives. And they found themselves down a member.

However, it only took Scarlet a moment to realise, she still had Wolfe’s very protective, and very expensive jacket. A small smile crept onto her lips as her companions stared on in horror to the place Wolfe had just been, meanwhile Shiv extinguished the pilot light of his flamer, the weapon had served its purpose well, witches and heretics had to be purged with flame.
Quietly in binary cant the hulking giant made a humorous remark, causing Ignatius to smirk.

‘The flesh is weak,’

Session 3 Part One - Perils of Our Lives
Fear the Perils of the Warp

Oh boy, what a session….

The morning following our journey through the poor part of town began, slowly. Scarlet ‘Rat’ woke up early and managed to sneak her way into the Slub’s private stores, pilfering coffee and a number of other beverages enjoyed by the Middle Classes.
Meanwhile the rest of the party did not rise swiftly from bed, Mordecai Freud prepared himself mentally for his coming interrogation of the Crimson Aquila prisoner they had taken in the previous days firefight, Parthius, aka ‘Quintin’ rose slowly, leaving his room in a zombie like state and in desperate need of a coffee, Ignatius Forsord and ‘Shiv’ eventually made their way down for breakfast alongside the rest of the group.

Breakfast was a kind of slop, as it turns out, while their stay is paid for in the Slub, it turns out that the quality of the provided food was not 5 stars, they’ll have to pay some of their own money in the future if they want to be eating anything better.

It took some convincing, but the party managed to gain access to the barkeeps coffee stores (as well as a barrage of foul language when he discovered his missing coffee).

Once breakfast was done, it actually took some convincing to get Parthius to aid in the interrogation, the still bleary eyed enforcer took some time to realise that teaching scum why they shouldn’t mess with their betters is why he gets up in the morning. Once he had come to this realisation however, he was as dedicated as could be to helping with such a worthy cause.

The interrogation was short and brutal, Scarlet ‘Rat’, despite growing up in the underhives left the room early on, believing the whole thing to be too brutal for her tastes. The group also ensured that the door was locked to prevent Wolfe von Arcarnus from entering as the nobleman had professed that he would wait outside, until such time as the group failed in their interrogation, at which point he would make a ‘glorious entrance’ and help them complete the task at hand.

Unfortunately for the party, the poor Aquila ganger knew little, only knowing of one base operated by his organisation (creatively named ‘The Base’), it seems the Aquila takes some measures to prevent information leaks. However the group now knows of its location, hidden within the Hives great sewer networks… Oh boy.

Once they were done and the others had left the room, Ignatius began to ‘disassemble’ the unnecessary bodily parts of the prisoner, intending to sell them to a nearby fleshsmith whilst they were still fresh. Shiv aided him diligently in this matter, the others were forced to drown out the screams as the two worked.

After their interrogation, the team set off to the shop next door, intent on buying more equipment so that they could stage a raid on the Aquila’s base. As they stepped out of the Slub however, they were confronted with a sea of angry Hivers, the Party overheard whispers of an attack in the Emperors Square of Holy Justice, and that the entire district had been cordoned off by the PDF, with whispers that members of the elite Tempestus Scions had been sighted aiding the PDF.

Once inside the shop, the team discovered a very poor selection of goods, the elderly shop keeper seems to have decided to keep his good stock out the back, much to Rat’s dismay. However there may be more to this old man than meets the eye, as he not only accepted the parties pilfered weapons from the previous day’s fighting, but also sold Mordecai Freud a rare Mesh Combat Cloak.

Now that they had heard of the attack, the Party walked swiftly towards the Emperors Square of Holy Justice, their previous quarry forgotten.

The Square was well and truly cordoned off, with over two hundred armed PDF soldiers milling around the square, the local authorities in true Imperial Fashion had sent so many troops to secure the square that many of them had nothing to do whilst their companions maned the cordons and used pict feed cameras to record evidence.

An Arbites convoy had been hit, several Taurox Vehicles had been destroyed in the fire fight, as well as dozens of armed Arbite guards, the whole scene was locked down tight, with Scion snipers overlooking the square.

To help them get inside, Wolfe donated his Inquisitorial Jacket to Rat, making her look a lot more official and a lot less thief like…

The entire group began to help investigate, grabbing details off of all who could tell them.

Ignatius however ignored the concerns of ‘weak’ and ‘fleshy’ beings and immediately went to lament the poor fortune of the Taurox vehicles, he was soon joined by another Acoloyte of the Machine God who had accompanied the PDF forces. Meanwhile Parthius investigated the scene, emboldened by how he had been called ‘sir’ and regarded as an important official moments before.
He came to one conclusion, and one conclusion only. There standing in the middle of a Taurox which had a whole blown straight through it by a melta weapon, Parthius had an epthany, he declared that ‘there had been, a FIREFIGHT’.
His words of wisdom were largely lost, to the detriment of the entire investigation, if only the foolish men of the PDF could have comprehended this snippet of wisdom.

Mordecai decided to go up to the nearby rooftops and try to speak with the Scions stationed on the rooftops, the journey was long as he had quite a distance to climb, of course a primitive man such as himself is in peak physical conditioning and he quickly made his way to the top, at which point he found it, empty. A little piece of him died that day, not being able to talk to some of the Imperium’s Premier snipers.

Meanwhile, Wolfe and Rat heard a commotion on the far side of the square, Ignatius also heard it, but upon realising that the commotion was a man shouting prayers to the Emperor, he destroyed all of his mental recordings of it and went back to lamenting the poor machine spirit of the downed Taurox with his new friend, with which he exchanged Vox communicators (and then established a Cabal with him, Shiv and his compatriot within the Scions compound they had arrived at on Kadran).
Wolfe and Rat spoke with the deranged preacher, who clearly had no idea how not to shout when he opened his mouth. The man was burly for a preacher and adorned with scars, it seemed he had likely spent some time in the Imperial Guard before taking up the mantle of a holy man.
A number of PDF troopers were trying to get him to move along for some time and gladly allowed Wolfe to intervene. Wolfe soon got some information from the brawny preacher, who claimed it had been an attack by those most foul. Right now this seemed to indicate another gang the Aquila Prisoner had mentioned, the Ardent.

By the time Mordecai had overcome his feelings of depression, he decided to take on the missing snipers jobs, as well as copious amounts of grapel wire. He set his sights over the square, just as Wolfe began to sense something odd within the warp, missing guards and a total lack of snipers watching over them (save for Mordecai). The PDF soldiers responded to his call to arms by taking up defensive positions along the main barricades, unfortunately leaving the alleys unsecured just as a man crept from the shadows towards the preacher.

Just as the shadowy, robe clad figure charged at the Preacher, Mordecai spotted him and fired two shots in quick succession, one missed (and at such a long distance it was no wonder), however the second shot stuck the man in the chest, wounding him terribly as he crashed into the former soldier. In an attempt to kill his target, the assassin raised a mono edged sword and brought it down upon the preachers head, however the Gnarly man took it in stride and barely flinched as the blade bounced off his skull, raising an old lasgun, covered in holy sigils as a club to strike back at his foe, unfortunately he missed.
It was at this stage that Wolfe joined the fray, calling upon the powers of the warp, he prepared to throw one of his own mono edged blades at the shadowy figure, however the warp proved too unstable and when he went to make his blade levitate and fly at his opponent he found himself speeding through the air. He collided with the assasin with a crunch and the man exploded in a shower of blood and gore. Once again, Wolfe was covered in blood from head to toe.

A sack of Throne Gelt, covered in blood landed between Scarlet ‘Rat’ and Wolfe, the two glared at each other before leaping at the pouch, Scarlet barely making it in time and stashing it within the pockets of the jacket she had borrowed. For the first time, Wolfe lamented giving her the jacket and tried to call upon the warp to help him at least get the money, but it was not to be.

The rest of the group joined the scowling Wolfe and grinning Scarlet shortly afterwards, it was soon agreed that they would go inside the nearby hospital, so that Wolfe could clean himself up and Ignatius to sell his acquired human parts.
Ignatius’s transaction went well, the Fleshsmith, the districts premier cosmetic surgeon was a little unhinged but proved to be a more than willing buyer and agreed to buy more off of Ignatius as soon as possible.
Wolfe cleaned himself up without much of an issue, despite giving the receptionist a heart attack when he asked where the showers were. Strangely enough he found his return trip taking him through the morgue (which he had somehow missed on the way in). A few of the dead arbiters had been brought inside and he decided it was best to see if anything within the warp had been brought to bear against them in the firefight which had cost them their lives, however something in the warp seemed to have been waiting for Wolfe to access the immaterium and an unearthly, wailing and screeching howl filled the air, everything made a glass inside the hospital shatered in an instant as the noise raged on. Many people went deaf, if only for a short while and the mental ward was filled with people shouting that ‘the voices are real, you heard it! THE VOICES ARE REAL’. It is unclear how many people died as a result of this, but it was later estimated to be in the hundreds, something which Inquisitorial Records are very quick to point out was only the beginning of the terror unleashed by Wolfe that day.

2nd Session

So, where we left off:

We were in an alley way where we were attacked by ‘Space Badger’ and his crew of 6 Hive Gangers spread out throughout the alleyway.

The fight was relatively quick, Wolfe von Arcarnus casted a number of psyker powers, among which he summoned a horde of two rats and stopped everyones guns from working before spending some time trying to cut apart a single ganger with his swords.

Mordecai Freud was free’d up from his standoff with a ganger by the arrival of Scarlet ‘Rat’ who managed to knock Mordecai’s opponent uncosncious with a mighty blow to the back of the head. Without bothering to ask why some random hiver helped him out, Mordecai proceeded to try and stap another ganger in the back. This failed so badly he ran straight past him without stopping, the following turn however, Mordecai rectified this by incinerating the mans Right leg.

Parthius, aka ‘Quintin’ shot a ganger who was hiding around a corner with a shotgun blast, the badly wounded ganger shot back but Parthius managed to dodge it like Neo From the Matrix before the guy was finally ended by Scarlet’s Autpistol. Parthius then spent the rest of the fight trying help Wolfe in his flailing brawl with a hive ganger.

Ignatius Forsord detected Wolfe’s Psyker powers affecting his weapon and merely waited for the fould presence to leave his beloved machine, taking aim all the while at a ganger who was charged by ‘Shiv’. In the end however Ignatius proved his worth when he waded into the brawl Shiv was involved in and crushed a mans skull in with his walking stick (albeit he was heavily wounded from Shiv’s Hammer)

Afterwards the group had a tiny bit of downtime, enough for Scarlet to loot 42 Throne Gelt from a dead ganger. As they rested they heard an engine reving in the distance, the group prepared for another confrontation. Their new opponent, a titanic man encased in metal plates sewn into his flesh crashed through a nearby wall. While he caused little damage at first, and fell into a state of Deja Vu from Wolfe’s powers, the titanic man charged Wolfe and in a single hit from his mighty Chainsword, nearly killed Wolfe with a single blow. Wolfe fortunately survived long enough to finish him with his Psyker powered swords, severing the titans head from his neck. The man crashed to the floor on top of Wolfe who was covered in blood from his dead opponent.

Mordecai almost caught the man’s head but decided against it.

Afterwards, loot was distributed, however the chainswords ownership was disputed by Wolfe and Ignatius, the later of which deemed the weapons machien spirit to be tainted by the clearly heretical giant who had metal plates sewn into his skin in a mockery of Mechanicus servitors.
Ignatius also examined their opponents body to record the instances of tech heresy present.

Eventually the group moved on, meeting up with Dargan Theiren who made whimsical promises of support and handed the group a vox channel with which to communicate with his house guard.
Mordecai made friends with Dargan’s enormous bodyguard called mountain. The two now have each others contact details as well as trading a set of gang leathers belonging to the Aquila for a set of las charge packs.

The group were shown to their rooms, Wolfe washed off the drying gore on his body and Mordecai threw their lone prisoner onto the floor of his room, the man complaining of a serious headache.

Welcome to Astranum!

1st Session
10th of March

Our Party has arrived on Astranum in the company of Inquisitor Orton Remarius. Our task is to scour the Hive city of Kadran for any signs of growing heresy. So far we have not even begun our investigation. Having not reached our base of operations, an inn called ‘The Slub’.

However we have managed multiple feats over the course of our journey.

Mordecai managed to fire the perfect shot on the target range, as well as combined with the efforts of Wolfe, earned the group the admiration of the Storm Trooper Squad codenamed ‘Scorpion Squad’.

Wolfe also felt incredibly generous, buying monoblade attachments for his and Mordecai’s blades. He also bought a commissar jacket stlyed in a fashion of an inquisitorial biker jacket.

Parthius bought a helmet.

And in general everyone used their meagre wealth to buy more bullets, which will surely come in handy.

Wolfe and Ignatius have developed a disliking for one another, Shiv nearly squashed Wolfe before landing and Wolfe repaid this all by casting psyker powers whenever he wanted for the most trivial of things.

As a result of our bickering (or at least partially because of it) Orton has left the group to bicker their way across Kadran.

Some members of the seedier district of Financian district Therien now see Wolfe as a pseudo Jesus/Emperor because of his mystical healing abilities, while Ignatius has inspired some mass hysteria in the same district by giving people the now infamous ‘finger of death’

At the end of our little adventure we were greeted in an alley by a man who looks nearly identical to Badger from Firefly… with Mutton Chops and a group of six thugs. Badger walked off and left his boys to deal with you. So next time, be prepared for more violence than this session combined.
Have fun.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
